Exponential association / plateau

Exponential association to a plateau fits y = Y0 + (Plateau − Y0) · (1 − exp(−K · x)) — the rising mirror of one-phase decay.

What is Exponential association / plateau?

Same parameter trio as one-phase decay (Y0, Plateau, K) but the curve rises from Y0 toward Plateau rather than decaying. Common in saturating accumulation (drug binding to receptor, response curve to a sustained stimulus).

When should I use Exponential association / plateau?

  • Saturating accumulation processes.
  • Time-course of accumulation toward an equilibrium.

What data does it need?

Numeric X + Y.

What does it report?

Y0 + Plateau + K with CIs.

How do I interpret the result?

The 'time to half-max' = ln 2 / K + Y0 → Plateau translation; reach 95% of Plateau at ~3·t½ from start.
